Your own biology,
doing the healing.
Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy for hair loss, joint pain, skin rejuvenation, and more – drawn from your blood and delivered precisely where your body needs it.
What PRP is, and who it’s actually for.
- It comes from your own blood.
- We draw a small sample, spin it to concentrate platelets, and inject the growth-factor-rich plasma exactly where it’s needed.
- Not just for athletes.
- PRP is used for hair restoration, facial rejuvenation, joint pain, sexual wellness, and post-surgical recovery.
- No synthetic materials.
- Because PRP is autologous – from your own body – rejection risk is essentially zero.
- Results are gradual and cumulative.
- Most hair and skin protocols improve over 3-6 months. Joint results are often felt within 4-6 weeks.

Why APMUC patients choose PRP over other options.
Physician-administered.
Every PRP injection is performed or directly supervised by Dr. Shemiranei – not a technician or nurse alone.
Same centrifuge, every time.
We use the same clinical-grade PRP preparation system for every patient, producing consistent platelet concentrations.
Multiple applications under one roof.
Hair, joints, face, sexual wellness – you don’t need to visit four different practices.
Custom protocols.
Your platelet count, injection site, and treatment goal shape your protocol. Nothing is one-size.
Honest outcome counseling.
We’ll tell you what PRP can and cannot do for your specific condition before you schedule a single session.
Follow-up included.
Post-procedure check-ins are built into every protocol to track response and adjust timing.
How a PRP procedure works at APMUC.
-
01
Consult and protocol design.
Dr. Shemiranei reviews your condition and goals, sets realistic expectations, and designs your injection protocol.
-
02
Blood draw and centrifuge.
A small blood draw is processed in our centrifuge for 10-15 minutes, concentrating the platelets.
-
03
Topical numbing and injection.
The treatment area is numbed. PRP is injected with precision – scalp, joint, face, or other target site.
-
04
Recovery and follow-up.
Most patients resume normal activity the same day. A follow-up is scheduled at 4-6 weeks to assess response.

At APMUC, every PRP procedure is performed or directly supervised by Dr. Saied Shemiranei, medical director and founder. His background in family medicine means he understands not just the injection, but the patient receiving it.
We use a clinical-grade centrifuge system calibrated to produce consistent platelet concentrations. We don’t guess at your protocol – we consider your platelet count, the target tissue, your health history, and your realistic goals before scheduling a session.

Frequently asked questions.
What is PRP made from?
PRP is prepared from your own blood. We draw a small sample, spin it in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets and growth factors, then inject that concentrated plasma into the treatment area.
Is PRP painful?
We numb the treatment area before injection. Most patients describe a brief pressure sensation. Joint injections have a higher level of sensation but are well tolerated with local anesthetic.
How many sessions will I need?
Hair PRP typically requires a series of 3 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart, for best results. Joint and facial PRP often show meaningful results in 1-2 sessions. Dr. Shemiranei will give you a realistic protocol at your consult.
When will I see results?
Joint pain often improves within 4-6 weeks. Hair density typically shows noticeable change at 3-6 months. Skin texture improves over 4-8 weeks after a facial PRP session.
Is PRP covered by insurance?
Most PRP procedures are not covered by insurance and are cash-pay. Some joint injection protocols may be partially reimbursable depending on diagnosis and plan. We’ll give you a clear cost estimate before scheduling.
Is PRP safe?
Yes. Because PRP is derived from your own blood, rejection or allergic reaction risk is essentially zero. Side effects are limited to temporary soreness, redness, or mild swelling at the injection site.
Do you offer the P-shot and O-shot?
Yes. PRP for sexual wellness is available for both men (P-shot) and women (O-shot). A private consult with Dr. Shemiranei is required before scheduling.
Can I combine hair PRP with other hair loss treatments?
Yes. PRP is often used alongside Minoxidil or finasteride for additive effect. Dr. Shemiranei will review your current regimen and discuss whether combining treatments makes sense for you.
How long is the recovery?
Most patients return to normal activity the same day. Scalp and facial PRP may cause mild redness for 24-48 hours. Joint PRP may require 1-2 days of reduced activity on the treated joint.
